St George,
Eastergate
Below is our standard pattern of Services, please see the COVID19 tab above for our temporary pattern of services.
St George’s Church is a grade 1 listed building and is situated in a farmyard with views across the fields.
St George’s proximity to the local church school and it’s place in the centre of Eastergate has meant that the congregation is full of young families as well as the less young worshipper too! The worship is simple and inclusive, often tailored for all ages, balanced with traditional Prayer Book services too.
There is a flourishing Sunday School and there are a large number of young families attending.
Accesibility
There are toilet facilities and a kitchen. The church is fully accessible to wheelchair users. There is a hearing loop for the hard of hearing and large print orders of service and hymn books available.
Gluten Free wafers available.
Parking is available in the large farm yard or on the verges of Church Lane.
Graveyard, the churchyard is still open for burials and interment of ashes.
Local History - Located at the back of Church is a folder containing details from our registers dating from 1539.
